Wow! You and your family are in for a treat with these easy to make breakfast danishes. Your family will think you labored in the kitchen for hours making these pastries for breakfast.
Prep time: about 10 min
Bake time: about 15 minutes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- 2 cans crescent rolls
- 8oz cream cheese (room temp)
- 1/2 white granulated sugar
- 3/4 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp sour cream
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (Fahrenheit)
Mix together cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, sour cream and vanilla until smooth and blended.
Open the can of crescent rolls but DO NOT unroll them. Slice the log into 1/2″ thicknesses with a knife
Place slices on a cookie sheet and create a bowl shape in center with fingers. (Center should be approximately 1/4″ thick)
Fill the center of each crescent roll with cream cheese mixture
Bake in oven for approximately 15 minutes or until a light golden brown. Allow to cool
- 1 cup powder sugar (confectioners sugar)
- 1 tsp milk
- 1 T butter (softened/melted)
- Mix together in a bowl until smooth. Drizzle over crescent rolls.
Makes approximately 16 crescent rolls
