Oh My Goodness Folks, for years I’ve wanted to find out how to make those delicious biscuits just like Red Lobster and today’s the day, thanks to Pinterest!
Earlier in the week, my son Alex posted a recipe to Facebook on how to make the Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi. I think it was code for “If I post this, I know Mom and Dana will make it and invite us over”. Well it worked and it was the perfect way for us to use up some of the shrimp we brought home from our annual Cajun Safari trip to southern Louisiana.
Hint: You’ll want to adjust the bake time according to your oven. The original recipe called for 10-12 minutes, but I found 16 minutes was perfect to make the biscuits golden brown.
Cheddar & Garlic Bimini Biscuits

- Cook Time 10-12 minutes but realistically 16 minutes
- Temperature: 425 degrees F
- 2 C all purpose flour
- 1 T sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder (I always add more)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1/2 c butter (unsalted) melted
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3 T melted butter
- 1 T chopped fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 425 degrees (F)
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt
In another bowl, melt butter and whisk together with butter mild.
Pour milk mixture into dry bowl and mix together.
Fold in cheese.
The mixture will be slightly doughy and sticky.
Place parchment paper onto cookie sheet. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop batter and apply onto baking sheet.
Place biscuits in oven and bake.
Mix butter, parsley and garlic together and brush onto biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.
Serve immediately and enjoy
